The Festival

Since 1987 the Canada Dance Festival has been presenting, advancing and celebrating Canadian dance excellence. We ignite passion, inspire creativity, and unify community in support of dance in Canada.

The Canada Dance Festival will take you to places you’ve never been before.  And you’ll like it.  Held annually each June in partnership with Canada’s National Arts Centre in Ottawa, we showcase dance artists from across the country.  We balance expanding artistic boundaries with popular dance programming and experiences – for dance artists and dance enthusiasts alike.

VOLUNTEERS

The Canada Dance Festival is currently seeking volunteers to fill the positions of Festival Assistant, Festival Usher, and Reception/Event Assistant to help with the 2012 edition of our event!

Why volunteer with the Canada Dance Festival?

You can gain hands-on work experience in the performing arts industry.

50% discount to dance performances
Complimentary entry to the performances scheduled on the night of your shift (subject to availability).

Our requirements:
Must be available for a minimum of 8 hours (two four hour shifts) between the 8 and 16 of June.
Must enjoy working as part of a team, and engaging with the general public
Must have an appreciation for the arts
Must be at least 18 years of age
